To those that dwelt in the land of shadows Came voices sounding so loud and so clear Declaring this message that God has come near.
This message declared in the shepherds lair Given with Glory, entrusted to the angels care Fresh and hopeful were the sounds

To the shepherds this privilege was given to see For a Shepherd one day this Baby would be!
Leading a flock out of the dark night Discovering Life By the heavenly Light.
This story and its glory in time was begun But even in eternity will never be done
